Your primary currency is the one Atlas uses to display your net worth, totals, and KPIs. It's a display setting: changing it doesn't touch the amounts on each account, it presents them in a different unit.
How to change it
- Click Account (bottom-left of the sidebar on desktop) or open the mobile menu.
- Select the Preferences tab.
- In the General card, open the Main Currency selector.
- Pick
CAD,USDorEUR. - Click Save. A toast confirms the change.
What changes, what doesn't
- Affected: dashboard KPIs, trend charts, totals by category, Atlas Score.
- Not affected: the individual currency of each account or asset, nor their monthly history.
- Crypto and unsupported conversion currencies (BTC, ETH, GBP, CHF, JPY, AUD, etc.): Atlas shows the raw amount, without converting it. As a result, those lines don't count toward your aggregate net worth. To make them count, enter the value in CAD/USD/EUR. See My alternative assets.
